I shave my head once every two weeks, so this might work better if you used it daily. The best thing about it is how ergonomic it is when shaving the back of your head. It’s a little awkward around the ears and at at the front though. Might get easier with practice. I have to say that the blade isn’t as good as the Gillette Fusion 5 but it works pretty well. What I do is one pass with the Fusion and then do what I can with the MOTO and then finish with the Gillette.
I paid extra for the metal Goldfinger. Without trying the plastic versions, it’s hard to say whether that’s worth it but I’m doubting it, since it’s so much more expensive. I’d recommend trying the plastic one first and then upgrade if you’re in love. There is still a small plastic part where it flexes and it sure looks like that would be the weak spot over time but I can’t take points off for that, since it’s still intact. They make one with tractor wheels that doesn’t flex and that might be the answer. Would be fun to try all three models.
One complaint is the amount of packaging that the Goldfinger model comes with. It comes with a solid cardboard box with a plastic insert that went straight to the landfill. I guess if you travel with your razor, it might be useful. I’d prefer a mini Crown Royal-type fabric bag with a drawstring.
Overall, definitely a useful tool and I’m glad I got it but not a perfect solution.
